I Am Not Moving - Hypocrisy at its Best.

The hypocrisy of our government arresting and detaining people in New York City and other states while the US State Department is simuntaneiously TRANING people in other countries how to rise up against THIER governments using social media is INCREDIBLE.

Although Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is not well organized, this is precisely what I’ve been predicting for the last year, “The people will rise up with pitch forks and torches because they have had enough”. They may not be able to articulate exactly what is wrong, but it doesn’t take a genious to tell that SOMETHING is not right.

Zoo Station is a Northern California U2 Tribute Band… I’d honestly rather watch these guys play then going to a massive stadium to watch the boys from Dublin. If you ever get a chance to see them GOOO!!!!

I was actually running one of the cams on crutches… Fun little edit in Premiere Pro’s Multicam tool. Notice in the end when Brad Seals runs out the back door of the club to shoot from outside thru the window. He’s good at stuff like that. 

New 27" Thunderbolt Display

So… the cool thing about these new TB displays is that they have ports on the back… 3 USB ports, 1 FW800 Port and 1 Ethernet Port.

What that means is, if you plug it into a 27” iMac, you now have a desktop machine with 2 Firewire ports again. 

After setting up one of these things I had to do some speed tests.  if you copy a lot of data between FW drives, you probably came across the fact that daisy chaining drives together is a drag because you slow your data down to HALF the FW800 theroetical limit. 

I did some experimenting and by plugging ONE drive into the newly “aquired” FW800 port on the back of the new TB display I don’t quite DOUBLE my speed but its faster. 

I made a folder with 5GB of crap in it for my experiement. By plugging one drive into each port (one on the iMac and one on the TB Display) these were my times

On giant long copies… that will make a difference… I’ll take it!

So this is what they call Artificial Intelligence. Each of these programs is designed to have conversations with real people… they get confused when they talk amongst themselves.
