FCPX - Editors Pow Wow V02 - #EPW2

UPDATE 2: Some problems are good to have right? Turns out the owner of the facility that I work at says we have too much work on the calendar that weekend and we can’t afford to give up the suite and frankly… I’ll be in a session all day as well. For now, the next Editors Pow Wow will have to be postponed to another date… not quite sure when it will be.

UPDATE: Yea, I should have looked at my calendar closer… I’m going to push this to Saturday August 6

OK, i’ve decided we are indeed going to do it again 12 Noon Pacific time on Saturday, August 6.  Last month we had our first LIVE Editors Pow Wow webcast. I invited local editors to come kick the tires of FCPX and we broadcast the whole 2.5 hour bitch fest.

This time, we will have an actual agenda and probably work thru a short project from beginning to end.  I’m inviting some of the same cast of characters again and want to open “studio audience” event up to a few more local editors.  If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to attend, let me know.

The entire event will be broadcast on ustream.com again and open to all who want to view it. We are going to try to moderate the questions and comments in the chat window better this time and make that all go smooth.

A bit about ustream, and remember, I am NOT affiliated with them at all. It is kind of expensive for ME to by “commercial free” broadcast time and since I’m doing this all free of charge, I’m NOT gonna incure any expenses. (if you know someone who wants to sponsor the event, let me know). However, it is VERY cheap for YOU to buy a month of commercial free viewing, its like $4.00 or something. So if you don’t want to watch the ads, I recommend you do that.
