Amazingly Beautiful... a must watch!

So first watch this, make it full screen, turn up the sound, sit back and enjoy... then read what I wrote below it.

So get this. This is all CGI, that means this IS NOT REAL!!! There is a Making of Video as well and a break down of how he did his compositing. It takes you thru the creation of one shot in the piece. This is just an amazing piece of work.  Mind boggling.

This is a lot of work. It's a heaping pile of work for one person. Looking a the 'making of', Every trick in the book is utilized here, DOF, caustics, radiosity, subsurface scattering, foliage generation - all the plugins that have become off the shelf in the last four years. Here is a person who understands light, and now we have the tools to easily put it to use. I originally became interested in photography as a way to help my animation. 15 years later, I am no longer an animator but I am a professional photographer. This guy obviously stuck with animation. Me, I'm way too lazy. And I'm more interested in what's outside. But you have to admire someone who has the stick-tuitiveness to see a project like this through. Much admiration. The best texture and lighting artist I've ever seen. And composer, on top of that.
