Sophia's People by Philip Bloom

Sofia's People: Canon 5dmk2 24p from Philip Bloom on Vimeo.

The thing that is amazing about this video is the fact that everyone thought Philip was shooting stills, AND in todays day and age of crap consumer still cameras people have grown accustom to posing for "a bit too long"... this video captures the moments in time when they were thinking, "at any time he will have the photo, I sure want to put my 'best foot forward'.

There is a vulnerability that you expose when you are about to have your photo taken... Philip captures that in this and several other of his pieces... I find it facinating.

Tutorial - Editing B-Roll Faster

Everyone has their own workflow and technique when it comes to Final Cut Pro. I will admit that I am pretty much self taught so a lot of what I do is very non-standard but this technique of working with B-Roll works really well and has some nice advantages. You may want to check it out and there is a cool trick thrown in at the end.

The Venetian is comfy.

Just got set up at The Venetian and I'm already downloading assets from the "Home Office", capturing a 90 minute DVCam tape, and transfering P2 footage via my Gigabit enabled PowerBook P2 reader... And I haven't even "gone on the clock" yet.
