"Shoot a bezel, go to jail"

Rene Renard

Rene is the "King of shooting things that don't move". In other words, shooting computer monitors. Rene probably has more HOURS of computer screens that he has shot on national television then anyone. That is not to say that he can't shoot things that move, he's actually quite good at that too. When you shoot a computer screen you must adjust your color balance for the screen and not the room. Consequently, if you accidently shoot the bezel, or the "frame" around the computer screen it will most likely look very orange. That is motivation for Rene's take off of the "Shoot a gun...." campaign.

"Don't blame your tools. A craftsman doesn't blame his tools...the (tools) may be slow, buggy, or missing features, but the blame is ultimately yours. Blaming your tools is whimpy: fundamentally, you either do a job or you don't."

"Open the Pod Bay doors HAL"
Every body remembers the scene from "2001: A Space Oddesy" where Dave is trying to get the HAL 9000 to open the doors to the Pod Bay but the most memorable time I ever heard this was in the tense moments right before a live uplink, right at that moment where everyone is taking their last deep breath, right BEFORE the final 10 second countdown when the Video Tape Operator, Paul Trueline, keyed open his mic and said this famous line... it gave everyone a fun chuckle right before the storm hit.
