Ripcurl is brilliant.

Every penny they spent on doing this “bullet time shoot was totally worth it. I just learned that Ripcurl shorts are very high tech and well designed and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The Last Three Minutes.

“The Last 3 Minutes” Directed by Po Chan from Shane Hurlbut, ASC on Vimeo.

Spent the afternoon going thru the making of videos for The Last Three Minutes for some pieces I’m cutting for Shane and Lydia Hurlbut. Decided to sit back and watch it again. I had not realized that the “prism effect” was not done digitally. If you haven’t seen the piece… take the time. (Ironically, it takes a little longer than 3 minutes to watch.)

Drew Maw is talented.

Canon 7D at Santa Monica Pier from Drew Maw on Vimeo.

I found this video a year ago today (coincidentally). I watched it, loved it, contacted Drew and inquired about prices and what not and the project I was in prep for fell thru. But it doesn’t change the fact that I love this piece. Plus, we know the Santa Monica Pier so we identify with the location. Anyway, you should see it, its got a great vibe.
