YouTube is 5 years old. (and change)

5 years ago (April 23, 2005) the first video was uploaded to YouTube. The dude in the video is one of the founders of YouTube, Jawed Karim. 18 seconds of history... Sort of like "Video Killed the Radio Star" being played on MTV 29 years ago.

Krusteaz Frozen French Toast

In an attempt to document a recipe my wife has literally given me dozens of time and i'm too stupid to remember it. I'm going to blog it for the whole world to see. Plus, using the Search function on Squarespace, i'll be able to find it later.

1. Open the plastic bag, lay the three pieces on the plate and run the microwave for 1:40

2. Flip the toast and turn the plate about 90 degrees

3. Run microwave for 35 seconds

4. Butter the toast and put a little cinnamon sugar on the toast and turn it another 90 degrees

5. Run microwave for another 30 seconds.

6. YUMMY!

Tutorial - Timecode Logging with TextExpander

This is a technique I used when I’m directing so I can log shots while we’re rolling. By working with time of day timecode I can quickly and accurately paste the timecode with a simple keystroke.

Top Secret... sorry.

So this is exciting... I'm going on a top secret gig, for a top secret company, at a top secret location (I don't even know yet) talking about top secret information. Not much of a blog post is it?  Well... I'll write what I can when I can. But let me just say this, I'm very excited about this gig. I'm leaving in a few hours and will be driving home Tuesday Night back in an edit Wednesday.

Maybe I'll post some 'top secret" fuzzed out and redacted photos a little later.
