So big week in the DSLR world with the announcement of Canon’s new C300 camear body but the real interesting news in my opinion is the hint that they will be releasing a new “Cinema based” DSLR.
I’m going to call this the 5D Mark 300, a name that Canon is free to use of they like. I think it’s feasible that this new DSLR could have the same image quality of hte C300 but not all the ins and outs, making it a great B-Camera if you have a budget or an A Camera if you are ON a budget.
Those of us who have been shooting on 5D MarkII’s have figured out all the issues with sync sound etc. and may be perfectly happy to shoot without all the added pro features of the C300.
That being said… the C300 sounds pretty cool… hmm, just wish it was more like $10K. Maybe Canon will have a massive price drop after they saw the RED announement.
